A Chartered Secretary is recognized worldwide as a Governance professional. In Bangladesh, a Chartered Secretary (CS) is a person who holds a membership of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB). ICSB offers two types of Membership - Associate Membership, which grants the title of Associate Chartered Secretary (ACS), and Fellow Membership, which confers the status of Fellow Chartered Secretary (FCS) upon fulfillment of certain conditions.
Associate Chartered Secretary (ACS)
Those who have successfully completed a Case Study and passed all the certificate levels and professional levels examinations of the Institute will be eligible for Associate Membership of ICSB and designated as Associate Chartered Secretary (ACS) upon payment of prescribed fees set by the Institute time to time and upon submission of the necessary forms and documents to the Institute.
Fellow Chartered Secretary (FCS)
Those Associate Chartered Secretaries of the Institute who have gained 05 (Five) years of post-ACS experience are eligible to apply for Fellow Chartered Secretary (FCS) upon fulfillment of certain terms & conditions and upon payment of prescribed fees set by the Institute from time to time. Interested Associate Chartered Secretaries can apply to the Institute for Fellow Membership in a prescribed form along with the required documents.
