Qualified Chartered Secretaries
Qualified Chartered Secretaries of the Institute are those who have passed all Certificate Levels and Professional Levels examinations of the Institute and completed a Case Study.
The Institute will inform students upon their completion of all the courses and they will be required to complete a Case Study. Once the Case Study is completed and confirmed by the Institute, qualified Chartered Secretaries should seek for membership (i.e. Associateship or Fellowship as appropriate) subject to the fulfillment of certain conditions.
Although qualified Chartered Secretaries are not members of the Institute, they are required to observe and be bound by the ICSB’s Code of Professional Ethics and Conduct.
Associate Chartered Secretary (ACS)
Associates are members of the Institute who have met the election requirements set by the Institute. They can represent themselves as a Chartered Secretary and are eligible to put the designatory letters of ACS (indicating Associate of the Institute) after their names for the duration of the membership.
Requirements to become ACS:
Fellow Chartered Secretary (FCS)
Fellows have the highest membership status in the Institute. They are leaders of the Chartered Secretary profession. They are expected to be role models of both the Institute and the profession, and to contribute to national growth.
They are eligible to put the designatory letters of FCS (indicating Fellow of the Institute) after their names for the duration of membership.
