Yes, ICSB is the sole authority that offers and confers the Chartered Secretaries (CS) certification/ qualification in Bangladesh.

Yes, Professional qualified (i.e. CFA, CA, CMA, CPA, CIMA, ACCA, CGMA or CIA) and Graduates (i.e. Accounting, Finance, Law, Economics, HRM, Political Science, Marketing, International Relations, Management or similar disciplines) from reputed Universities may get up to a maximum of 04 (four) subject’s exemptions subject to approval by the competent authority of the institute.

No. CS is a globally recognized professional qualification offered by ICSB – a statutory body under the Ministry of Commerce, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. In contrast, BBA is an academic degree offered by public and private universities.

ICSB exam is to produce Chartered Secretaries (CS) and Secretarial Auditors, whereas ICAB produces Chartered Accountants (CA) and Financial Auditors. However, both are professional organizations administered by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

 

ICAB members are known as Professional Accountants, whereas ICSB members are known as "Governance Professionals" worldwide.  

ICSB exam is to produce Chartered Secretaries (CS) and Secretarial Auditors, whereas ICMAB produces Cost & Management Accountants (CMA) and Cost Auditors. However, both are professional organizations administered by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

 

ICMAB members are known as Professional Accountants, whereas ICSB members are known as "Governance Professionals" worldwide.  

The examination application deadlines will be posted on the Institute's website and notified through email.

Students are recommended to schedule their studies before submitting examination application. The Institute provides a variety of support and services for students to prepare for their examinations.

Yes, examinees who have not succeeded in an examination may apply in the prescribed form after paying specified fee, for review of answer scripts/result.

In CS Program, a student will be allowed to appear at examination with a minimum of 1 (one) subject in a particular level and session. However s/he has to get admission level wise (for all subjects of the particular level(s) in a particular session).

Yes, A student shall be allowed to appear in exam of maximum 2 consecutive levels of Certificate Level (I, II and III) or Professional Level (I and II) only.

No,  Students of the Foundation Level will be allowed for subject wise passing instead of a level wise passing system, but s/he shall not be allowed to get admitted into the Certificate Level-I until s/he passes all subjects of the Foundation Level.
